2020 Grant Awards
Impact 100 of Indian River County is pleased to announce that over a half a million dollars will be distributed among the eight finalists which have been selected to present their programs to their membership for vote at the Grant Awards and Annual Meeting on April 16, 2020.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Indian River County, The BIG Mission: To recruit veterans and service professionals to mentor and engage the struggling disadvantaged youth in Indian River County.
Camp Haven: Fund a new multipurpose services and programs building that will be the meeting place for training, psychological counseling, AA meetings and much more.
Children’s Home Society, The Dodgertown Elementary Community Partnership School: Create a program that will assess and address school community challenges and implement a school improvement program that will provide behavioral health services, after school enrichment program and parent engagement services.
Ocean Research and Conservation Association, Inc., ORCA Center for Citizen Science: The Citizen Science Program will educate and engage community members in solving the problems that are leading to the degradation of the Indian River Lagoon.
The Source, DINING with DIGNITY Food Truck: The DINING with DIGNITY is an employment skills training program that offers culinary training to help resolve the greater issues of hunger, homelessness, poverty, underemployment and chronic unemployment. The food truck offers a mobile extension of this program to the greater Indian River Community.
The ARC and the Atlantic Classical Orchestra Collaborative Music Program: This program will allow persons with varying degrees of ability an opportunity to learn about musical genres, instruments and be given a form of expression and voice in generating their own music to be shared with the greater community through performances by the ACO.
The Treasure Coast Food Bank, Mobile Mercado, Indian River County: Building upon its existing hunger fighting initiatives and programming TCFB will introduce a self-contained roving grocery store on wheels and SNAP (Food Stamps) access point that will meet Indian River residents where they live, work and play.
Visiting Nurse Association of Indian River County, VNA Home Health Music Therapy Program: This is a music therapy program specifically for VNA Home Health Patients with chronic conditions, including neurological diagnosis who are receiving rehabilitative services.
