Impact 100 Indian River County Kicks Off Second Decade of Transformational Giving
VERO BEACH, FL – Impact 100 marked the beginning of it’s second decade at their 11th Annual Kickoff Brunch yesterday at Oak Harbor.
Impact 100 President, Denise Battaglini addressed a group of over 240 members and guests sharing that the focus of Impact 100 this year will be the “impact of impact” in our community. Battaglini went on to say that, “having just marked our 10th Anniversary, we have so much to be proud of. In our first 10 years we have funded over $3.8M in programs which have fundamentally changed our community.” She further reminded the audience, “this is our model: One Woman, $1000, One Vote.”
Keynote Speaker, Carrie Morgridge, Chief Disruptor of the Morgridge Family Foundation, philanthropist and author of “The Spirit of The Trail” and “Every Gift Matters: How Your Passion Can Change the World”, remarked that, “this model works” referring to the Impact 100 model, and pointed out that every woman who contributes $1000 gets an equal voice and vote in how the money is awarded. Carrie speaks nationally to education advocacy forums, at poverty alleviation conferences and many convenings, globally, that are philanthropically focused.
All women from Indian River County are welcome. The deadline for joining is February 28th. More information can be found at www.impact100ir.com.
We are women who collectively impact the lives of individuals and our community through transformational giving.
