Participating on a grant panel is at the heart of our mission and what sets Impact 100 apart from other philanthropic organizations. You will experience first-hand how our grant process works. You will read, review, and score grant applications, make site visits, and recommend which applicants move to the next phase of member voting. Plus, you will increase your awareness of our community needs and appreciation for the work of these nonprofits. And you’ll make many long-lasting friendships. Time Commitment: January – February. Our committees make things happen behind the scenes, ensuring that Impact 100 runs effectively and efficiently. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help us run the organization, consider joining one of the committees below.

1. COMMUNITY PARTNERS COMMITTEE

You will see how our nonprofit grant recipients implement their grant dollars, gain knowledge of our nonprofit partners’ winning projects, attend on-site visits, learn how our accountability and follow-up procedures work, and offer guidance through the grant implementation process. 2. EVENTS COMMITTEE

This is the perfect opportunity to get to know other Impact members in a small group setting. From event planning to helping with general tasks at a one-day-only event, we can use your help. Various events include the Kickoff Event (November), Impact Day (January), Meet the Finalists Reception (March), and the Annual Meeting (April). Time Commitment: October – April. 3. FINANCE COMMITTEE

If you have a financial background or expertise and want to be an integral part of the Grants Committee, we would appreciate your talents. A financial analyst on a grant panel reviews the grants with a special focus on the financial reports. Time Commitment: January – February. Contact grants@impact100ir.com.

4. GENERAL VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE

If you want to get involved for just one event, we welcome your help with event registration, setup and breakdown at events, greeting guests at small gatherings, and other one-time-only activities. Time Commitment: October – April. Contact volunteer@impact100ir.com.

5. GRANTS COMMITTEE

This is the overview committee for our grant making.

You will experience first-hand how our grant process works. You will help organize and coordinate our grant process which includes workshops for nonprofits, selecting and training grant panel members, participating in the “reading table” of applications to determine if they can be assigned to a grant panel, coordinating the Finalist Selection Panel (FSP), and supporting finalists through the Meet the Finalists and Annual Meeting events. 6. MARKETING COMMITTEE

This is a great opportunity to help promote the Impact 100 brand and the achievements of our community partners to members, potential members, and the community at large. Social media, advertising, PR, and writing skills are helpful but not necessary. The marketing committee is responsible for the website, social media, newsletters, and publicity. Time Commitment: Sporadic but year-round. Monthly virtual meetings. Contact marketing@impact100ir.com.

7. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Then help us recruit members, welcome and engage new members, help current members stay involved, plan member gatherings, make phone calls, and welcome members at events. It is a great way to get connected. Time Commitment: Year-round with work done by phone, email, and attendance at events. Occasional meetings. Contact membership@impact100ir.com.

8. SMALL GATHERING HOST

Would you like to host a get together in your home or at your club, a restaurant or other venue? This is one of the best ways to recruit new members who want to learn about Impact 100. While a list of potential members from you is helpful, it is not necessary. Time Commitment: Whenever you want. Contact membership@impact100ir.com.

9. SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE

Do you have a knack for fundraising or sales? Or do you have great connections in the community? We can use your talents to attract and build relationships with sponsors to help fund our events. Time Commitment: Sporadic but year-round. Contact sponsorship@impact100ir.com.

10. VISIONING COMMITTEE

This committee works with local nonprofits interested in applying for a grant by explaining our grant guidelines and application process and helping them fine tune their “big idea” for a grant proposal. You will explore with them ways to improve the application, guide them in the process, and suggest other nonprofits which may be interested in collaborating on a proposal. Spreading the word about Impact 100 and our mission is a year-round task. Did you know that most of our members have joined because other members invited them? That means that our most effective recruiting tool is the enthusiasm shown by you!

1. 1. Tell others—friends, family, co-workers, church friends, book club members, country club members, any woman you know—about our impact and our organization.
   2. Invite a guest to one of our membership engagement/recruiting events.
   3. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram and share our postings
   4. Invite Impact 100 to speak to your book club, women’s group, or other gathering of women.

Share your passion for our mission and organization as you help onboard new members. As a mentor, you will help new members get connected with other members and Impact 100 in ways that are meaningful to them. You will help them feel welcome and to choose their level of involvement. Occasionally we need professional help and/or advice. Do you have expertise in accounting, finance, marketing, public relations, communications, law, computers, graphic design, website design, writing or editing?
